Last week we had the pleasure of Ben’s 1983 BMW E21 316 Auto visit us at our HQ in Kent all the way from Hull. Ben informed us of his love for his car first of all but did advise we don’t plan on doing a 6 hour journey with the standard seats in the E21, not the comfiest of vehicles.
The car was purchased from a friend after much hard negotiation after Ben had seen the car up for sale 5 months prior but wasn’t in a position to afford the car at that time. His future plans include a set of new seats, for those long journeys, to replace the 34 year old originals. He’s also thinking about a an Air Ride kit for the car and tidy up the bodywork and paint to bring it back to pristine condition but for now the plan is to drive and enjoy the car!
Complete with OEM BBS front lip, the wheels are what set the car off. A gorgeous set of BBS RS’s, 16×9 all round in the perfect colour combination, white centres to match the car and gold hardware to compliment.
The E21 is brought down to earth thanks to a set of hand built custom set of GAZ Coilovers, not too low though after a few near misses with that rare BBS front lip and general condition of the roads throughout the UK, probably a sensible idea.
