FittedUK is well known as one of the UK’s biggest and best car shows. This years event didn’t disappoint. With us being based down in the South East in the heart of Kent it’s a long drive for us at around 5 hours, however well worth the journey and seeing all the cars convoying up across the UK makes the drive that much more entertaining. Set up by 4-5pm on the Saturday evening it was time for some food and and early night ready for a busy show day on the Sunday.
In the lead up to the event we had a space on our stand become available, luckily we came across Appy’s gorgeous E30 Convertible with fresh blue Lamborghini paint, he also won our ‘Best In Car Park’ award at our Gravity Show a few weeks back so was nice to welcome him along to a different show as part of our stand.
As always we had Kiran’s rocket bunny GT86 on the stand after a final rush to get tyres on the Work’s, now sporting a new Carbon bonnet and Carbon boot-lid, although the GT86 is now off the road until next year undergoing some exciting changes… We will however continue to have his yellow F80 M3 on our stand for the rest of the year along with a few other choice cars!
James Olley’s Pandem Porsche Cayman S is a build we have been following for a little while, was great to see the car in person and looked really good in the red. The fitment of the bodykit was spot on and the massive rear wing really suits the car.
FittedUK is predominantly a German car show, however the variety and standard of non-German cars at the show was really good to see and always a welcoming sight. The standard of cars throughout the show was amazing, the volume of overseas cars was also impressive, always nice to see something different.
Around the corner from where our stand was situated in the middle of the show halls was this carpeted ‘VIP Hall’. The standard and variety of cars in this hall was incredible and very impressive. A car that partictuarlly stood out was Shaun Quinns fantastically ridiculous Civic, a car we’ve known of for a long time but never seen in the flesh, what a build.
Among all the cars travelling from all over Europe to the show as Abby’s wide body Audi A5 with custom blue paint and freshly painted Work Miester S1’s.
This BMW E21 fitted with a CSL kit was nothing short of amazing and not something you see at every event, it was attracting a lot of attention throughout the weekend and understandably so.
That sum’s up our quick coverage of FittedUK 2017, we’ll be back next year for sure and it’s certainly an event not to miss.
