Japanese king of bodykits Kato Wataru and his Liberty Walk brand are well known names in todays automotive industry throughout the world. You’ll find a Liberty Walk kitted car in most modified car-influenced countries, ranging from BMW M3’s, McLaren’s and these two, the iconic Lamborghini Aventador and the flawless Ferrari 458.
Some of you may have spotted these two animals at Autosport last month on the Liberty Walk stand run by our friends over at Liberty Walk Europe (The Performance Co.), since then they have made their way over to Europe to the Belgium GTR Store where owner Jean-Mari De Roover let us in to take some pictures. Since being in Europe the cars also attended the prestigious Essen Motor Show where we’re told they were very well received, unsurprising really!
If you happen to own a Lamborghini Aventador and fancy an aggressive visual upgrade via Liberty Walk, the kits range from $35,000-$45,000 depending on which optional extras you decide to add on, and don’t forget you’ll also need some ridiculously wide wheels to go with your new wider arches. On this Aventador you’ll find a set of huge 20″ Forgiato Maglia’s covering the borderline ridiculous brake set up, spec’d at an eye watering, 20×9 ET-7 font and 21×13 ET-20 rears…
More of a Ferrari person? You can pick up the Ferrari 458 Liberty Walk kit from $30,000, again depending on your wants and needs. The dancing shoes on this 458 are a brand new set of 3SDM Forged 3.66 FR’s custom made, spec’d at 20×9 ET0 up front and 20×12 ET-25 at the back.
Whilst a great majority of you may cringe at the thought of cutting up such expensive and extensively almost over-engineered cars, you can’t help but admire the balls to the wall approach Kato and his brand has. In a modified world where it’s somewhat difficult to stand out in the crowd, Liberty Walk kits allow you to create something eye catching and unique. More and more are kits becoming available for different cars like the new NSX and the McLaren 650S, both of which should be coming to Europe very soon…
That’s it for these two giants, but if you want to see some more Liberty Walk cars from around the UK and Europe make sure you check out our Gravity Show on July 16th, where we will have a large Liberty Walk display waiting…
